Double-time spent at the local hardware stores

Sondra and I needed to spend some time looking for tile options for our bathroom makeover. We’ve known about the master bathroom issues from some time. Just seem to be ignoring leaking tile and the bulging outside wall for way too long.

So we decided today was the day to take a trip to Home Depot and check out some shower and floor tile options. Oh and we also had to look at paint options for the walls, and faucet options for the bathroom. As I stated this is to be a full bathroom makeover. So some 3-4 hours later we emerge with some sample tiles of the shower, floor and some color swatches to be used for the walls. We even were able to decide on new fixtures.

So this all sounds good. The problem is there is now a Lowe’s hardware just down the road form the Home Depot here in South Austin on Brodie Lane. Oh and Lowe’s is also in the direction of our home from Home Depot. So what does this mean you ask? Well it means that I now get to spend the same amount of time coming up with tile options in Lowe’s.

So basically dear reader I have to spend twice the amount of time on any decision we make regarding this project. Not too mention if we decide to purchase say a ceiling fan we now have to go to both places to compare brands and prices. Life was a lot simpler when we only had the one option.
