Well the long weekend is coming to a close. All of the relatives have left our house and it is now the time when we would normally be watching HBO, our Sunday night ritual. Instead Sondra is in the kitchen. Apparently she didn’t get enough cooking this weekend.

I’m on the couch with my PowerBook watching the food network (http://www.foodnetwork.com). I’ve got to make the statement that I love food and the Food Network. I’m so thankful for cable television and the information age in general that will/can allow such interesting programming. And I’m also regretful of being so along in years and not realizing I enjoyed watching the programs, especially those from Rachel Ray. I’m also regretful that I never learned to cook. There is something so very cool and well, sexy about watching a fine meal come together. It reminds me of watching pizzas being made at Shakey’s Pizza in my home town when I was very young.
