Portfolio
Below is a short list of some interesting client projects I’ve worked on over the past few months.
A note about what is displayed here. I pick up projects from many sources. Many of these sources are PR agencies where I’m hired as a developer. Because I don’t deal directly with the end client I don’t represent that project here on my own Portfolio page. If you would like to hire me I will be more than glad to provide more details on the client projects I’ve worked on.
I also write custom WordPress plugins. Many of these plugins are for specific client projects needs. I’ve published a few of these. You can find a list of my published plugins on the wordpress.org plugins pages.

Create:Fixate
This is one of my most favorite client sites. Create:Fixate is a very cool artist support site in Los Angeles. I originally took over support of the site in the Fall 2008 after the original developer went MIA. In Jan 2009 we launched a total redesign of the site. -
Big World Photo
When I met Lorri she had a functional website but she needed to accept orders online. I wrote a custom shopping cart system for her complete with an admin interface so she can manage the orders herself. -
Kendra Scott Designs
The Kendra Scott online Jewelry site was a unique custom design I implemented in Magento. Unlike many of the out-of-the-box Magento themes you will come across with the grid layout, the KSD website design is cleaner and highly functional. -
Geek Austin
Geek Austin is a community site manager by the legendary Lynne Bender. Lynne was attempting to migrate the GA site to a WordPress self-hosed solution. I helped out by providing a WordPress theme based on his original site design.Visit http://geekaustin.org/

Englin Consultin, LLC
Englin Consulting need to update their look for the new year. Shayna was able to select a likable theme from the thousands of available canned themes for WordPress. I help refine the theme into something a little more personal for her use. Visit http://www.englin.net

Lakeline Animal Care
Lakeline Animal Care was an existing site hosting using static HTML page. The design was solid enough but making edits directly to the HTML files was problematic. So my task was to convert the existing design into a WordPress theme so the client can maintain the content without needing to learn HTML. -
Human Right Campaign (HRC) Backstory
The Human Right Campaign (HRC) Backstory site is a blog and companion site for the much larger http://www.hrc.org site. The HRC Backstory blog has been hosted on TypePad for many years. The client needed more control and decided on a self-hosted WordPress system. The project involved building a WordPress theme similar to the current TypePad site and also converting the 4000+ images hosted in TypePad to the WordPress system.

I love the media tagging, but the plugin for shortcodes seems a bit basic – it is aimed at graphics. I have a lot of docs and pdf files so I may enhace that module of the code. Seems that you have documented it well so shouldnt be too hard. I will let you know how i get on. thanks for sharing.

Simon N ยป Um. Care to clarify what you mean by ‘basic’. I prefer to keep the shortcode minimal. I don’t see anything in the shortcode that is specific to only image. Feel free to elaborate or don’t.
