Paul MenardGreetings and welcome to CodeHooligans.com. This site is the personal blog and somewhat professional site of Paul Menard. I use this site to show off some of my creations as well as write about the things that interest me and/or really get under my skin.

I’m a Sr. Level Web Developer living in Austin, Texas. Most of my clients are from all over the United States. I recently left my full-time day job with a premiers PR agency to start my own company. I have over 15 years of programming experience, ranging from C/C++, COBOL, Pascal, ASP, Cold Fusion, PHP, PERL and Ruby on Rails. I’ve worked on Windows, UNIX, Linux and AS/400 systems. I mostly work in either PHP, WordPress or CakePHP environments but have worked with Drupal and some other open source Content Management Systems. I discovered Magento last year and really love the beautiful architecture of it’s design and look forward to working on more project where I can utilize this e-Commerce package.

In the Fall of 2008 I was a member of Team Refresh for the Knowbility AIR Austin competition. We won 2nd place for the work on our site Volunteers at the Creek.
