Greetings and welcome to CodeHooligans.com. This site is the personal blog and somewhat professional site of Paul Menard. This site is more a sounding board and personal place for experimentation with you, the user. I generally write about development topics like some WordPress plugins I’ve written or rants on living in Austin or the general tech industry. Just anything that I want to vent about.

I’m a Sr. Level Web Developer living in Austin, Texas. Many of my clients are from all around the United States. I recently left my full-time day job to pursue full-time Web Development on my own. I have over 15 years of programming experience, ranging from C/C++, COBOL, Pascal, ASP, Cold Fusion, PHP and PERL. I’ve worked on Windows, UNIX, Linux and AS/400 systems. At the moment I’m looking for some interesting work to supplement my current freelance workload. I mostly work in either PHP, WordPress or CakePHP environments but have worked with Drupal and some other open source CMS systems. Also just a note, I’ve not a designer. I don’t do Photoshop designs. I can but not my strong suite.
